That is factually wrong. Turnbull was up against Rudd not Gillard in 2008. Rudd was in his first year as a popular PM, so no comparison to the current situation. Malcolm Turnbull with his speech in WA will have entrenched and widened the view of voters that he is the one they want as leader.
