I agree that the stagnant SP situation is most likely due to a capper  (whether that is a Shorter or whether a hostile TO party – that is unknown).


How can they get away with it?

(1)Retail Investors are already heavily invested and don’t have the cash to “Keep buying the opportunity of a lifetime”

(2)The Big Commercial Investors are shell shocked at the moment and even super funds are down – they don’t seem interested at the moment when oil has not had a turn around sign and our industry continues to produce a surplus.

(3)Senegal has mostly been shrouded in secrecy for so long and the true picture has not yet been released – just hints it’s big.


What can be done about it?

(1)Keep releasing larger than expected figures.  Everyone likes big numbers.  Especially ones that end up surprising everyone.

(2)Try to get institutions on board.  They will want to know some costs / figures so they can work out how “Much” $$$$$ they can possibly make.  This is hard at this stage but might be more likely in a few months.

(3)It’s all about the News.  Currently we appear to be last years news.  We need to be this years news and it seems that FAR is trying to do this – but until official results are out of CNE Post SNE-3 (or BEL) they can only keep giving us hints and releasing what they can.


We need to ensure that “Greed” starts to kick in and that will only occur when people start to get an idea how massive this is and the amount of money that can be made.  We need some hard figures and then the games with the SP will be harder to play.

In the meantime, we continue to take our punishment and grit our teeth.  Hopefully it'll be payback time soon.
