Well is it a surprise that Cairn didn't sell out 30% to BP @$US600M?
The 30% at a current SNE 640 Million barrels @30% @ $US10 per barrel NPV (from FAR's recent announcement) @ FID @ 0.9x to bring to 2017 dollars is worth to Cairn a NPV $US1,728M (or $Aus2.3B).
With FAR's 5.5B shares on issue the $US600M is equivalent to 14.5 cents per share just for Senegal. At $US10 per barrel it is worth nearly 3X. What is Gambia and Guinea Bissau worth?
Not that I wish for FAR to be taken out with a low bid, but with the current capping a 20 cent bid ala the recent chinese tilt at AWE, would grab at least 30% of FAR in my opinion.
