We can talk about 'political instability' all we like with regards to Mali..............but I don't remember the Malinese Govt locking up its perfectly healthy population (~20m) for 6 months - only allowing them out of their homes for 1 of 4 reasons, and its police force wrestling the public to the ground for not wearing a 2 cent piece of paper over their faces. Instability indeed.
