I think that the situation on the ground over in Mali is very calm judging by the many reports that I have read. ECOWAS has given the green light to the new president Assimi Goïta and it looks like the prime mister will be a civilian Choguel Maïga from the M5 party/group. No further sanctions will be enforced but they( ECOWAS) have insisted that elections have to be held on the date that was previously arranged FEB 22. Also the condition that the leaders of the transitional government cannot stand in those forthcoming elections still stands.
I look at several other areas to reassure myself that things are calm/normal, things like the Repository which is up to date and is still functioning and issuing licences, mining permits etc. All government departments appear to be functioning as normal.
All imo and DYOR
