    A man hits a paramedic while carrying out his urgent duties at accident scene and is apprehended by a off duty police officer and then arrested by the police for common assault.

    The matter went before magistrate Pat O'shea and he was let off scott free with a warning. DPP may appeal decision at request of police and Paramedic unions.
