A Perth man has been jailed for three, yes thats three, years for posting an anti-semitic video on You Tube.

I am certainly against racial vilification but I cannot help but think that the guy could have posted an anti-anything else video and have got away with it scot-free.

In the past, two notable historians have been jailed for questioning holocaust claims, whilst an emminent USD university historian lost his job for the same reason.

To my mind, such an aggresive and long-standing reaction (ie: jail) to anti-semitic opinion should itself be a major worry. Individuals can, and in fact do, vilify other religions and races without fear of incarceration.
