The guy who killed Bill Rowe, popular father and family man, with a cricket bat on Geraldton beach on Christmas Day 2007, will walk free in Sept 2011 if not earlier. The attack was unprovoked, beyond Rowe's family asking the killer's mob to give back their cricket bat. The killer had received a 9 month suspended sentence for a similar attack a year before.
