This "egg throwing" incident has been misrepresented.

What actually happened is this.

A chicken was crossing the road, opposite where P.M. Gillard was entering the radio station.

The chicken, upon noticing Ms Gillard, had an overwhelming urge to lay an egg.

The egg was "layed" with such force, that it ricocheted off the ground and headed in the direction of Ms. Gillard.

The egg, upon noticing that it was heading towards a Prime Minister, changed trajectory and inadvertantly struck a police officer nearby.

You see, there is an honest explanation for everything.
