I am not surprised at the lack of understanding of manganese applications and uses, for far too long, participants on our forum have been busying themselves with the corporate side of things which we eventually managed to clarify and resolve!
So your queries about manganese uses, and the subsequent discussion about it is a refreshing change, it might take a while, but at least we are talking about manganese and what kaboko mining is all about.
So the answer to your comment is NO, it would be naive to think they just "pop" things into the furnace, there are industrial steps they have to take, ferromanganese can be classified at different grades like the ones you found in your website, that was %99.7. there are other grades of alloys with different manganese contents.
That is a big and very interesting subject, however, from kaboko mining point of view, this is not what they are mining, simply put, you cant just mine these alloys out of the ground!
