    Ah
It's not the usual arrangement. I use them to transact in my super portfolio for a flat fee, but they do not give me advice on the composition of investments, I have complete control over that aspect. I mainly use them for tax, legal and other specific advice aspects like investment structuring, estate planning, inter generational planning etc. There is a lot of intricacies on these issues that I could work out accurately given enough time, but I find that it's actually cheaper and more effective to let them do that stuff, particularly when so much of it is governed by changing legislation. So I am currently a relatively low 'value' client to them in dollar terms, but I am also low maintenance for them at this point. If I ever decide that I no longer have the time to run my own super portfolio, I can turn it over to them. Outside super, I run my own investments totally hands free.
