    You need to be a bit careful with cash enhanced funds like smarter money. It all sounds easy and secure, but they can contain unexpected risks. And having performance fees in a cash fund is frankly rubbish (yes Smarter Money, I'm looking at you). If I was looking at a cash enhanced exposure, my money would be with Mutual Enhanced Cash (MIF). It invests in senior and subordinated Australian bank debt and the team there are well experienced with very robust processes. Smarter Money are a bit slapdash as a shop. In any case, MIF have consistently edged out Smarter Money.
