I started off with managed funds years ago - some good ones but the 2 killers for me were;
- you can't control your CGT liability and can end up with one even if you don't sell and / or the unit price doesn't go up
- fees....fees.....fees
A recent poster stated quality shares, paying dividends, reinvestment - good advice IMO.
