I was given a possible reason for the infrastructure fund... Transfield built some wind farms and the costs exploded, so a new fund was developed and the company who the farms were built for were given shares in the infrastructure fund as payment for the farms.

I hope this makes sense..when it was explained to me it sounded pretty good.

However I have no way to confirm this information so do what I did and take it with a grain of salt, unless anyone else can shed any light on this matter.
