Why doesn't Goodman and his chums, consider a management buyout. If they launched a low ball takeover offer, conditional on 100% acceptance, got a punter to advance them a billion dollar bridging loan, they could use the company cash to payback the loan, and start directing the company's cash flow to pay down debt. At least it would put a floor under the stock price and might flush out another bidder.
