I think a play by the chinese is fairly obvious given the recent board appointments, I would suggest they are there to see if the mine really is viable then we can probably expect a fairly low ball bid given the other interested parties have not seemed to materialise.ML and cto are in a corner with little or no cash to go on with and probably a few debtors knocking on the door not to mention the capex needed for the new mining equipment.
