It is not just A2M that is currently struggling in China. Other international brands are struggling too without exceptions. From Reckitt Benckiser, Danone, Nestle, etc, all have been citing structural issues like pricing competitions in mother and baby stores, competitions from domestic brands, as well as declining births. Just go look up what all the other brands have been saying to form a clearer picture.
What we can be sure at least, there will be no takeover offer from any of the big brands. That leaves only the CCP as the only other potential suitor if people are still wishing for a takeover.
