i have been bitten very badly by this stock in the past, hence obviously could be accused of having a biased view, but after reading through literally dozens of quarterly reports of small cap stocks i just cannot fathom why this company is trading at a cap of $3 million. over the past 6 months lum have dramatically improved their quarterly results to be within a sneeze of profitability whereas many companies with caps in some instances up as high as $80 million are burning astronomical amounts of cash and have revenues less than lum.

now i realise that people will argue that some of these other companies are in different sectors but at the end of the day $ earnt are $ earnt and there certainly is money to be made in the advertising industry. what is of foremost concern to me as someone who has followed this company for years is managements lack of willingness to aggressively promote itself. to my knowledge the only full time employees are the receptionist and wally borovac, the company secretary, and friends that hold MPO tell me they get the impression wally's focus certainly isnt LUM at present. (who could blame him). but surely shareholders do deserve a management team that will do their best to present the company to the market in a favourable light. it seems to me that the only time lum announce seemingly good news is shortly after a placement and it then seems that the placement takers all dump leaving the sp lower than it was before the placement happened.

there is a saying that the market is never wrong, well the small cap sector is driven by sentiment and lum management are doing absolutely nothing to try and improve sentiment. as the financial results are quite reasonable one has to ask WHY? is their stake not enough? at least rodd sala spilled his guts in trying to make this company work, he had passion and most of all holding 20 odd million shares he had incentive. i dont know why rodd couldnt make it work, i suspect lumapanel just wasnt good enough for the company to succeed as a sole product business model. but the company are playing that low a key that most people still think of lum as simply lumapanel and dont even know about vertigo.

in a way i wish i was still a shareholder so i could attend the agm and cause merry hell.
