recruitment has been a long-time problem for clinical trials...............recruitment has been a long-time problem for clinical trials...............
Great reminder thanks Peet. Basicaly that is main reason I prefer the measurement of progress in terms of milestones (obviously with targeted timelines).
Like others here I'm in another couple of baby bios and have been for some time. Both are very well organized machines with good management and advisors, both have good science. One got excited about impending phase 2 results but was blindsided by unexpected placebo measurements that made the trial outcomes OK instead of fantastic so the market dumped it overnight and it is still struggling to recover in price even though it looks good going forward. The second has a great pipeline of novel product developed by some of the best in the business and looking better than a crowd that just sold for a squillion dollars but without hard results is priced well below its fair value. Thats baby bios for you and the game we signed up for.
What really frustrates me with PAA is that it has solid results in the bag. There is no if, but or, maybe about them - with the right partner they could move straight to phase III in dogs to stop cancer in its tracks - eliminating cancer later could be the new improved OMO - brighter, whiter etc. At a minimum the message to the market should be the phase II has been a complete success (look at the graphics and mudmap of development and work required to commercialise) however further steps toward commercialization have been temporarily disrupted due to the somewhat unexpectedly exciting results achieved in the Covid testing (simple pictorial explanation of development and milestones). None of that is a lie - none of that is confusing, none of that would put them at disadvantage in any negotiations.
