My view is that it is totally reasonable for people to be concerned.

It's not about whether it's just 2 pips, it's about the consistent low volumes and the fact that the SP is heading down on anticipation of good news.

Frankly (and excuse me for stating the obvious), this trading thing is not so much whether or not a particular company on the ASX has a bright future as a prospective business operation, but whether or not the buying or selling behaviour of our fellow traders will sufficiently push the SP in the right direction relative to a position we are holding.

On virtually every thread of every stock discussed on HC you will encounter the "this stock is SO undervalued" type of posts. And although in a number of cases this might be mathematically honest, that's no consolation to those who have been holding for a very long time a red position with no recognition of the "value" of their investment manifesting itself in the buying choices of fellow traders.

People buy into stocks with the hope that they will rise. That's it...That's the bottom line...And they are constantly looking for the unique precursors that set up such a rise. The expectation of good Anns is one of those precursors (the only?). But the situation is complex enough that the expectation alone, or even the fulfillment of it, doesn't always produce the desired result we want on the SP.

In this case, yes, we might say that the market is "mistreating" Thor. And unfortunately once that happens or goes on for a while, there can be some inertia associated with it and positive sentiment is more difficult to reinstate.

So, although I myself am confident that Thor has a feasable business project ahead of it, I remain wary of the stockmarket itself and the actions of fellow traders, because it is ultimately these two things which are less predictable.

To those who have stated that a longer-term view is the answer...well yeah sure. If I knew that holding a position in a stock for 5 years would eventually pay me back big-time, then it would all be too easy. But unfortunately we never know, and we all have so many choices as to where we put our money on the ASX. Time IS money. Time DOES raise the issue of opportunity cost. It's reasonable to take these things into account.

    GLTA...
