according to the ato published corporate tax data, one third of the top 500 Aus corporations paid no corporate
tax in 2019 and of the remainder only a few paid the
standard 30%.
Many of these mega corporations are foreign owned and use all kinds of offshore strategies to avoid Aus
corporate tax.
So rather than attribute blame to the unfortunate
disabled, why not lay the blame for budget shortfalls
ar the boardrooms of the mega rich who are failing
to be good corporate citizens.
IMO, the best way to tax multinationals is to levy
a flat turnover tax which would prevent them from
transfer pricing
