Major manganese mines proposed in last week leading ferro-alloy producers of China to roll over the prices for October and the contracts on the price levels are being concluded in order.
The prices of manganese ores for shipments to China in September have had a considerable reduction of 17 - 23% but the prices for October have remained unchanged from those settled for September and, accordingly, the prices of manganese ores for China have been stabilized.
The prices of manganese ores for shipments to China in October are thought to be <> medium grade lumpy ore (with Mn 44%) : US$7.20 per Mn 1% CIF China, <> medium grade chips ore (with Mn 43%) : US$6.40 per Mn 1% CIF and <> high grade fines ore (with Mn 46 - 48%) : US$7.50 per Mn 1% CIF.
