Appears to be good demand to buy manganese over the last week or so. Check the more recent buy requests especially for high grade manganese ore.

CSM produce high grade 48% Mn.

Keen investors can search this website for requests to buy over the last few months- and compare with much more recent days.

Note the offer to buy 45% Mn on 10th March, at what they refer to is a target price of USD 120. This offer works out at USD 2.80 (and probably just a base offer)-compares with CSM 's USD3.25 calculation in 2006/7 to meet $85 million profit guidance.

Investors are looking for independant confirmation that manganese demand/prices are returning to more normal levels. ie invesors do not want to be told by CSM - they wait evidence for themselves.

The spot market is a strong guide to supply/demand macros-we may have some first hand evidence here that manganese demand is coming back.
