someone has just been given a 2 year jail term for manipulating the price of one particular oil stock using cfd's (9 months if he is a good boy)...
It was not super large amounts of money involved, but I guess he thought it was worth a try ...... and in addition to his profits he gets free board and lodging for at least the next 9 months...
