    I would say you are spot on with your first points in that the big boys are buying up big and shaking down the daytraders.

    I don't see it as a pump & dump because that would imply a downward shareprice at some short term point. With the shareprice doubling in a week with each day a new high and each day opening with a gap up then this cannot be classed as pump & dump. Perhaps just "pump".
