I personally think the main problem is, so many punters (both traders and investors) have seen so many instances of good ol fashioned pump and dumps, that they are getting more and more wary to jump in.
The P&D brigade will have to work a little harder every time, or might, god help us, even have to resort to "Pump and No Dump" tactics to actually create some steady and a little more dependable price rises.
In my opinion, once APG establishes a nice steady up trend, then and only then might a few of the burnt start to wade back in.
Time will tell.
