You and those that have thumbed you up must reside outside Australia and are not up to scratch with the actual state of politics here. You and your band don’t appear to realise that Malcolm Turnbull was elected leader by a convincing margin of Liberal MPs and then went to an election as leader which he won. By the way we are democracy in Australia and don’t have absolute rulers like you appear to believe. We have a parliament where all participants can contribute to making the laws of the land. Presumably where you reside you must have a ruler of sorts. Give me the Australian system any day.
On Tony Abbott you are obviously unaware the former PM lost the confidence of not only the voters but also his own team and they voted him out. Turnbull on the other hand while in some difficulty still has the confidence of his own team and leads in the preferred PM stakes something that Abbott did not as Bill Shorten walked all over Abbott and was preferred over him. The poll out yesterday reflected Turnbull is still the peoples pick for PM albeit his Party is behind in voting intention. Next best is Julie Bishop. Peter Dutton by the way has minuscule support for the leadership. The poll showed that even if Turnbull was not a contender all Dutton could scrape is about 5%. it would be Julie Bishop flying high.
If you are a non resident it's not your fault your knowledge is not up to scratch. My suggestion would be for you to read widely to get a better feel for the reality. In that regard I hope I have been able to clear up your misconceptions.

Both are well clear of the more conservative alternatives of Tony Abbott, on 11% (up one) and 3% (down one). Scott Morrison scores only 2%, unchanged on last time. When asked who they would prefer in the absence of Turnbull, 26% opted for Bishop and 16% for Abbott, with Dutton and Morrison both on 5%. Also featured is an occasional question on leaders’ attributes, but I would want to see the raw numbers before drawing any conclusions from them.
