According to KIM website the diamonds are counted once they are`separated from the concentrate that comes out of the plant. The weight of diamonds counted is somehow related back to the amount of dirt put through the plant to come up with a figure of carrats for every hundred tons put through the plant. KIM has about 10 carrats for 100 tons. At the moment CQT is probably counting and weighing theirs. I have never worked in a counting room so don't realy know how long it takes to do all this.
