I think that is is pretty well established that the entire financial system in which we operate is completely manipulated in every conceivable way.

If you are naively serious about the stock market and are not just 'playing' it for fun, then you could be in for a shock.

Banks, regulators, governments and participants are all guilty of this at differing levels.
