since someone earlier on the thread asked if anybody was old enough to know about super. I have a self managed fund set up by my accountant a few years ago. Best thing I ever did. If you are self employed and have a Company its simple. Every bit of profit I make goes into my super fund. You pay 15% tax on the way in. All of my share investing/trading is done in the super fund and you dont pay capital gains.

And when I turn 60 in 18 months I can access the lot with no tax.

Its worthwhile even if you are not a baby boomer if you want to start early.

As someone said, get a good accountant (a straight one who you trust).

EXT is a small dabble for me amongst a larger portfolio. I only buy small quantities of speccies, use a risk management approach.
