As for wages and their weight of input costs.... simply put, its bloody high. That and fuel. Everything else is secondary.
@OnesFate - I would prefer not to cross promote, though as there are so few posters on WGX, I am not overly worried! ALK is a great stock. Been watching it for a long time, but... until recently felt it was not great value (as in, just my personal valuation), but... interestingly, there was a sell off by its largest holder, which smashed the share price, so I jumped in. Actually added again on Friday, as I just see it being run as well as CMMs mine, yet, for now, its profile is 60% the size, but as that will soon change it just seems a great miner, with Boda as a value add.
WGX - I hold because I believe it will eventually outperform RMS and... perhaps match SLR market cap wise. A big call and if I had read it anywhere 12+ months ago, I would have laughed, but a lot has changed. I have also picked up small bits of info like WGX is heavily focused on staff retention and safety etc. The sorts of things that it perhaps struggled with in the past. The new MD is basically, exactly what WGX needed.... about 5 years ago, but better late than never.
I must admit, I would love to see WB start to share what his future plans are for WGX. Yes, he has already made good progress at WGX becoming a miner that wants to actually generate profit, versus just produce as many ounces as possible, but... what about an overarching vision for the company. Does he want to expand organically, or... acquisition/ both etc. Early days of course, but in many posts over recent years, I repeat how few MDs are actually being bold....
