My view is the exact opposite - I think there are lots of people out there who agree with me that the drug doesn't really work (not statistically significant weight loss), and that the Phase 2B mark 2 results will continue to show that.
They don't want to short sell now because the price could do anything leading up to the announcement - better to minimixse risk and put the short sell in just before the announcement - which will be the last few weeks of feb - so I would expect MBP will finish at 60 cents at the end of feb, and then drop to about 10 cents once the announcement is out that the drug had the same performance in Phase 2B mark 2 as it did in Phase 2B mark 1 - i.e. not statistically significant weight loss vs placebo.
