Thanks to tinnitus I have been able to have a quick look at the report. I note that in a highlighted box they say:
Warming of the climate system is unequivocal, and since the 1950s, many of the observed
changes are unprecedented over decades to millennia. The atmosphere and ocean have warmed,
the amounts of snow and ice have diminished, sea level has risen, and the concentrations of
greenhouse gases have increased
I would just point out that from 1950 to about 19978 the temperature did not change. So from 1950 to 2013 we have 63 years. Of those 63 years the temperature has not risen for 18+15 years, that is 33 years. So for at least half of those years there was no temperature rise! The decades were unprecedented but not for the reasons given.
