He used Den Volokin to publish in a journal that had no understanding of climate science.
Since then his paper is never cited and only ever ridiculed for good reason. Like you he fails on the most basic physics.
Ask him yourself how his "pressure" hypothesis explains the ice ages, perhaps now he might have a better answer than a 20% loss in atmospheric pressure. He even failed to explain the diurnal temp difference as he didn't have any answer for how pressure stops the world freezing at night.
He could probably tell you a bit about trees though as he was employed by the "U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service".
