Gosh @nippy you really don’t know what you’re saying, on that subject of Capt Cook either! have you even read James Cook’s entries? Where he records the waters boiling with snapper in Botany Bay. Where are those fish now @nippy ? They’re all gone because of over fishing that irresponsible fishers say is not true, just like algal blooms have erupted off the beaches of South Australia caused by a heatwave in the ocean. It is the heatwaves in our oceans that largely cause the most damage (drought, cyclones etc,) as you probably didn’t realise the oceans are the drivers largely responsible for weather conditions around the world (yes ‘around’ the world, it’s not flat as you think).You even think BOM have their heads in the sand hmm. Did you realise all the weather apps we rely on use BOM data. If you don’t want to believe it I couldn’t care. But the head in the sand is clearly yours.
