Scientists have developed more and more efficient solar generation technology. Engineers have made production costs lower and lower. Science continues to develop battery technology for both mobile applications, including EVs, and for stationary storage to support electricity networks. Those are increasingly ready for economic deployment. Technologies to replace industrial processes previously reliant on fossil fuels with renewable energy as the energy source instead are already available and getting first commercial scale trials. Including steel production.

Your "so called", to me, simply paints your comments as one of denial and obstruction of progress, and manipulation of understanding, whether that was willful on your part or not.

I “belittle” those who claim that the technology we have at the moment is actually Fit for Purpose.

I don’t know what technology we will have in the future but the stuff being used today is not capable of running a country on and the monetary costs and environmental impacts render these attempts, impractical at best.
