Your calculations of 288K are incorrect when applied correctly to the SB law - it should be 255K. 288K is when you use global average temperature of 16 degrees C.
The flaw in SB law is that it assumes that the Earth is a closed system with a sharp surface around a vacuum.
This is not valid for the Earth's surface since there is additionally the atmosphere which influences the radiation balance considerably.
