Questioning the Accepted wisdom/consensus of the day has always been fraught with danger and the cheeky upstarts who dare to question their Better’s (those who are emotionally attached to the idea, that what they want to be true) have always been ridiculed, mocked and labeled as crazy whack jobs.
Conspiracy theorists is just our particular turn of phrase at this point in time, used by those “who want to believe that they can’t have got it wrong”.
