As per usual NOAA also issues in its monthly global climate report a temperature analysis for the year to date, relevant parts of which are reproduced below.
"In a pattern similar to recent year-to-date periods, the first seven months of the year had record-warm sea surface temperatures covering most all of the equatorial Atlantic and large parts of the subtropical Atlantic. Record warmth also encompassed much of the Indian Ocean and parts of the southern Atlantic and Southern Ocean as well as the western equatorial Pacific. "
