The link between greenhouse gases and temperature rises are also accepted by the vast majority of climate scientists.

The long term chart can be confusing however as it doesn't clearly show the rate of change.

The rate of change in the past 100 years is what concerns climate scientists as it is currently heating up about 20 times faster than over the past million years.

As you say, population growth is causing a rapid rise in greenhouse gases and a reduced rate of population growth would be ideal.
