KP, I have a friend who has spent the last 20 years on anti depressants.
He’s always looking for the next best thing that will make his life less stressful/better, apparently he just wants to have a normal life that isn’t to high on fun or too low on anxiety so he tells me.
I can understand what he means but I’ve been trying to get just one point across to him since he started talking the antidepressants.
Life is about the highs and lows, just like a heartbeat goes up and down and a straight line is very bad.
No highs or lows, to me is the definition of depressing.
After 20 years he still doesn’t get it, he’s been sold on the Goldilocks fairytale and as a result he’s never going to be happy and will always be chasing Skyhooks.
Much like the climate worrier’s, he will never have a realistic expectation of normal.
He will never accept that the science cannot fix his worries.
