Improved production and a strong export market have enabled Centennial Coal to
reconsider its earlier decision to close the Mannering Mine at the end of
June 2008, with production at Mannering now set to continue into a new area of
the mine lease.
Mr Cameron said:
“This not only provides for the continued employment of Mannering’s
dedicated workforce, but also allows Centennial to optimise the Group’s
resources.”
Mannering is an underground mine located on the Central Coast of New South
Wales, producing approximately 900,000 tonnes per annum.
