“HAHA, yeah! They amount of rubbish coming out of some people's fingers is incredible. BTA HAS HAD AN EXCELLENT HALF. The future looks very bright indeed” End of Quote.

Let us analyse BTA half year accounts:

Revenue from continuing operation excluding abnormal: $12,456m
Net Loss before abnormal (litigation) -$5.522m
    Profit margin: -44%
Strip of the idiotic legal settlement and we can see the Peter Cook talent.Isn’t this an EXCELLENT profit margin !! LOL

    CASHFLOW:
The net cash inflow from operating activities presented in the accounts is outright misleading as it included the abnormal (litigation). The true operating cash flow from operating activities before abnormal is as follow:

Net cash inflow from operating activities in Cook’s accounts: $0.629 m
    Less Litigation revenue -$20.000 m
    Add Litigation Expense +$7.264 m
Net Cash Outflow from operating activities: -$12.107 m

FAT CATS EXPENSE: Corporate head office expenses for the half year had increased by 20% from the previous period of $1.811 m to $2.164m.

Let us contrast the fat cat expense to the Revenue:

    1) Royalty income from sales of Relenza was down 77% to $3,819 (2007: $16,483).
    2) Collaboration income was down 30% to $6,657 (2007: $9,560).
DESPITE R&D EXPENSES INCREASING 36% to $6,339 (2007: $4,656) Research revenue down 14% to $4,210 (2007: $4,915) and most noticeable is Milestone payments down 100% to ZERO. Put simply NO MILESTONE ACHIEVED.

    CONCLUSION:
HAHA indeed. The above numbers cut and pasted from the half year accounts conclusively shows the stuff posted by some is as bright as the stuff tipped out of portable loos at some camp sites. Executive remuneration is shining as brightly as ever.
It shines brightest when compared to shareholders wealth. In this half year period. Accounts, BTA sp fell 67% from 79 cents on 1 July 08 to 34 cents on 31 Dec 08.
