CITYVIEW APPOINTS CHAIRMAN
CityView Corporation Limited (“CityView”) is pleased to announce that Mr Manuel Africano has agreed to act as non-executive Chairman of the Company. Mr Africano has recently retired as the Minister for Geology and Mines of Angola.
During his term as a senior Minister in the Cabinet he successfully assisted in the rebuilding of Angola’s fractured post-war economy and the co-ordination of the African Diamond Producers Association.
In Angola’s war of independence Mr Africano had an important role as the Director of Mobilisation supervising activities in Europe.
Mr Africano has a Masters Degree in International Relations from the Sorbonne University Paris where he also studied for a doctorate in economics.
CityView’s CEO Mr Mark Smyth said “The appointment of such a distinguished African as our Chairman will greatly assist CityView’s future in West Africa.”
