    Amnesty - I try so hard to respect them, but seriously.... they are basically against any form of imprisonment and are, by their own admission, human rights activists. So: they will never endorse any kind of detention for refugees, and will never speak favourably of any country that imposes this on illegal immigrants. To expect them to have any kind words at all for any detention centre anywhere ever is asking a bit much.

    Working around a lot of different arms of the UN, I really think what constitutes as Human Rights needs revision. what was designed 60 years ago when the league of nations became the UN worked well for the times but does not fit exactly with the modern world, the rights and desires of the sovereign state and what is even workable or desirable for many nations.
