Has anyone read up on the project? The TPJ site is worth a look.
Work completed:
Previous work in the area carried out by TPJ has included geophysics and drilling totalling 402m at the Kisi prospect. Trenching at Kisi includes a best intercept of 40g/t Au over 16m. There is also a potential geological resource at Arie of 164Mt @ 0.32% Cu, 0.1g/t Au.
Arie Porphyry copper prospect: Pyrite and chalcopyrite with minor bornite and
molybdenite in high level porphyritic dioritic intrusives in a 1,450m long zone parallel to the
contact with Tinniwi Volcanics. Drilling by Kennecott in the 1980s indicated a resource of
164 million tonnes at 0.32% copper, 0.1 g/t gold and 1.7 g/t silver to 200m depth. This
historic resource does not meet the criteria for resources as required by NI 43-101.
There are several other prospects with potential like Mt Kren.Several others showing good gold grades too.
Sounds like some serious money.Over 4 billion dollars at current prices. I'm sure with Newcrest on board they will get Arie up to meet the criteria for resources and maybe more.(better technology today). Cant wait until some results start coming through next year. As announced on 30th Sept 2010 PRE intends to dilute from 13.43% interest to a 10% interest, free carried to decision to mine.
Looks like it could be a ripper.
Maybe this could finance our project(s)in the future and vice versa.( 10% of costs for Manus).
Interesting for sure.
