on the news this morning, there was a small piece about a manus boatie from Iraq (an Iraqi kurd) - he had a wife and child in Iraq. if watso heard correct, he said something about having to be in Australia for 8 years, before he could get his family to Australia, but would only take 2 years if NZ would take him.
