What people fail to understand is that Green groups are ideologically based.The issues they raise are only a means to a goal. Their goal is to stop coal mining. They raise endless popular conservation issues. If you agree to one of their requests they just change the goal post and raise another. Whether it is endangered frogs,snails,sedges or air.water or ground quality is irrelevant.The tactic is to keep you in court and delay production till you either give up or go broke. It requires a strong government to take them on as they select populist issues and there is then a political cost to government to oppose them. I mean to say, what sort of a cad does not love the enviroment and if you oppose them you are by definition anti planet.They hold the high moral ground and they decide what the planet needs and coking coal is not one of them. Even if Bathurst gets to production they are not going to drop off the campaign for the good of the local people.
