    Hello Roiboi,

I never forget a good question. You and several other posters asked me for a map of the Gardanne bassin permits.

    Please find below pp 19 & 20

It is late, but it was released today only.

EPG's "Gas de Gardanne" permit is located right between Schuepbach's application (Brignolles) eastwards and Queensland's application westwards (Provence).

FYI Gardanne has not been renewed yet, process is ongoing. There seems to be local resistance but Paris should supersede.

Another matter of interest for EPG shareholders is p18. EPG is asking for a new permit to cover the area between its current Lorraine permits and the german border.
Another permit = another financial commitment for EPG. Really useful ?

For those who like big posters (I mean wall posters, not overweight guys):

Unfortunately it's not updated but you can have a better idea of french geography and location of the permits.

I invite you to read the special issues of the BEPH http://www.developpement-durable.gouv.fr/energie/petrole/pdf/bull-beph_bilan2007_ang.pdf and http://www.developpement-durable.gouv.fr/energie/petrole/pdf/bull-beph_bilan2006_ang.pdf

They is a lot of usefull informations regarding oil&gas EP in France. One the many conclusion I have drawn is that the easy time to get permits is over.

The competition is becoming fierce and some area are coveted by up to 5 applicants. Financial and technical credibility will be a major advantage inn the race and defiance a definite millstone.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers
    Z.
