APJAPJ - that is not correct at all.
They aren't selling the data centres - they are launching a property fund that will buy the land that the NextDC data centres are built on, and NextDC will lease back the land from the fund. This was always part of NextDC's plan and is a great way of finding tax savings, de-risking, and focusing on core business (which isn't owning land, its running data centres), and frees up a bunch of capital for growth.
Disclaimer: I don't own any NXT - I tried to get in on the float and missed out, and won't be buying any at the current levels. I see MAQ as a much better investment in the short to medium term.
